● Hired to lead ByteDance’s globalisation effort, by leading the global talent ByteDance is hiring in the region. ● Owned two systems in ByteDance, adding features, supporting their continuity, working very closely with the product manager and the business stakeholders to improve these systems and scale them up. ● Planned and executed a zero-downtime migration for some of ByteDance systems from China to Malaysia, as part of the efforts to comply with US/UK/EEA laws. ● Hired and mentored three team members, who successfully onboarded onto ByteDance’s ecosystem and started adding features to the systems they own. ● Actively helping shape the hiring strategy for ByteDance in the region, referring over 2,000 people to different jobs, enhancing the resume scanning system to remove bias from it, ensuring a proper framework for interviews is followed by interviewers, mentoring interviewers, and conducting over 50 interviews. ● Spreading the culture of engineering excellence, resilience, and ownership of work.
